Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Livingston Skatepark's historical significance as Scotland's oldest, protected skate spot. While the original section is challenging, the newer area offers accessible features for all levels. It's a beloved community hub with nearby amenities and a playground, making it a great family destination.

"Livingston skatepark was built in 1981 and is the oldest skatepark in Scotland. It is a category B listed historical structure, which means it can never be torn down.

The original area of the park is of course, showing its age and is quite difficult to skate. There is however a smaller newer section with small quarter pipes, a flatbar and ledge and euro gap/hubba combo.

But you don't come here for that- you come to skate a historical landmark in British skateboarding. To skate where generations of skateboarders have been. To skate your 500th skatepark at a park where there was a time it was the only one.

"This place is amazing. These people here are doing big rolling hoops on their bike, skateboard, scooters and rolling skates. Jumping and hopping and rolling about everywhere. There is a play park with slides swings chutes and roundabouts right beside it. Plenty seating for the mums and dads. This is a fabulous place. When I was there I was talking to the people using it and they told me they just love it and is the single best place to be in this area of Livingston. Just around the corner is plenty takeaway places and shops for the people to stay hydrated. Fabulous visit. See photos and video attached to this review."

"Challenging for the more experienced skater but still fun and safe enough for the youngest beginner."
