"Such a shame this is only open on Wednesday. When arriving we were greeted with such kindness. Many of the volunteers here were happy to chat to us and let me children look through their personal telescopes at the moon. Went to the top of the observatory to look through the main telescope which unfortunately they couldn’t get to work."

"Today I made my first visit to the observatory and I had a wonderful time! The director was a great guy, chatty and lovely. The other attendants were very welcoming and great to talk to! I can't wait to really get a project going with the gang and see what science we can get up to!"
Stevie Stewart
"The area has nice views, and good for leisure, walking, running, nature etc. There's also a quarry a few metres down and it is a hotspot for climbers... I've never been in the observatory though it appears to be quite inviting."
