The combination of the enchanting Butterfly House, the engaging mini zoo, and the expansive park grounds makes it a delightful experience for families and individuals alike. "First time visit to Williamson Park.
Visited with family - children and grandparents.
Car par was £1.80ish per hour or £4.20 for day which we opted for. Spent over 4 hours in the patk.
Beautiful park, clean and well maintained.
Loved the mini zoo and the Butterfly house. Affordable and good value for money. £5 for adults and £3.50 for child. Family of 4 for £14. Tickets bought at the door. No queue.
Children loved the 2 play areas- good selection and plenty of play equipment.
We took a picnic and there was an open area with benches and tables to sit. Some of these were under a cover so would be good if it is raining.
Enjoyable experience."

"A great little morning out. Beautiful location, family friendly. The cafe and shop were closed due to flood damage (mid July 2025) but there was a food vendor on the grounds."

"Very good value visit
We enjoyed our time at the gardens and butterfly house but, and I’m sure we probably picked the wrong time of year, but the butterflies were quite scarce however the minimal entry free meant we still felt it was worth a visit
For parking though, I suggest use the app and just book an hour so you can extend if need be, but saves the big hike to all day parking which is the next step up
The nearby memorial building looked fascinating but was sadly shut"
