Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Hull History Centre as an invaluable resource with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. It's a highly recommended venue for anyone interested in local history or family research. The main drawback cited is the limited opening hours, making it difficult for those working weekdays to visit. Reddit+1

"An invaluable venue and learning/research hub, with friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend, and you can follow them on social media too."

gareth sleightholme

"I consider it a public library. A lot of information, and reference material availalable if you are interested in history. The friendly staffs are very essential and amazingly helpful to point you in the right directions."

Olu Oguntona (Nathdaniel)

"I visited Hull from the US to look up information on ancestors in Hull. I arrived in Hull on Thursday afternoon to discover that it closed at 4:30 and would not reopen until the next Tuesday, after I had left Hull. I had only one hour there and the staff were amazingly helpful, but I could do so little in one hour. I understand that funds are limited and the Centre can only be open part-time; however, I don't understand why they can't offer any evening or weekend hours."
