"Extremely enjoyable visit. Ideal for those with young children.
Context - we visited mid September after school holidays finished with our toddler- the house was not open.
Finding the entrance proved a little challenging- I would recommend following the signs locally, Google maps was misleading. On arrival parking was easy and plentiful. Parking and park were free to visit - Thank you!!
We visited the park, some of the gardens, enjoyed visiting the animals, and finished the visit enjoying lovely food in the cafe whilst the toddler & parent had a great time in the soft play. I highly recommend the cafe food with a 5* plus particularly for the passion fruit cake.
We could easily have spent considerably more time there - so if you’re looking for something to exhaust your toddler - this is a great option"

"Beautiful gardens, really well kept and so much to see. Unfortunately (for me) not all of the gardens and lake were accessible due to a wedding, but what I saw was really interesting. The animals were nice to see, the car parking was free and plenty of spaces. Free entry to the gardens too made it an outstanding day out."

"Lovely place to visit. Free entry and parking. So nice to spend money in the cafe for some lovely cake and coffee. Was going to buy some Apple Juice to take home from gift shop but got there too late before it closed at 4pm. Park closes at 4.30pm. Will have to set reminder for myself next time!"
