Although Kew Green is a small area, and yet, it it greatly lived by the locals and by those who travel to it.
You will soon notice that it is a popular spot for both community and sporting events, especially during the summer.
In the summer, you can't help but notice the fact that the green is used for majority of the summer for cricket.
If you look carefully at the pictures, you will see about 8 wickets prepared throughout the summer. As one is worn down by use, the next is ready for the next match.
Apart from cricket, you will see The local residents coming for a walk individually or as couples or even with their dogs.
Thankfully in recent decades, the British public has chosen to pick-up the waste of their dogs and local councils has provided bins where people can then dump this waste.
You will see locals coming along to the green as individuals or couples or a group and sitting, chathing or simply walking.
Within walking distance of the River Thames, the green acts as a good starting point for a rambling walk along the towpath. There is also a cricket pitch which is used frequently during the summer.
At the North East corner of Kew Green is Kew Pond. This old horse pond is now an attractive local feature thanks to volunteers from the Friends of Kew Pond who planted the island and pond edges, creating habitat for a range of water birds. The water level is managed by a sluice gate that allows river water to fill the pond via an underground channel during high spring tide."

"A place for recreational activities. Occasionally items are brought in to spice up the environment and for families to have fun. Very good view with all round access."

"Open space split up by a busy road. It includes a church and cricket pitch and is next to one of the gates to Kew Gardens."
