Offering views from it's South West point of the Pennines, Derbyshire Hills and Irwell Valley, it's eight hectares of trees, gorse, heathers, moss land and paths are also now a designated local nature reserve popular for family recreation. Notably famous as the discovery site of the now probably extinct "Manchester Moth" (Euclemensia Woodiella) specimens of which can be viewed in the Manchester Museum and Natural History Museum, London."
