"A great museum with an added bonus of helpful and friendly staff at front of desk just inside the entrance.
Very informative with info boards and items associated with John Bunyan's life.
Do take the one way around the museum ending with a book case of translations from around the world, roughly in 175 languages of Pilgrims progress.
It is a free museum, but you can donate money to whatever value you desire, for the running of this fabulous museum.
A guide book can be bought for £3.50 along with variations of Pilgrim's progress and other books associated with John Bunyan or Bedford local history."

"I’m a fan of John Bunyan it was a dream to go see the town he lived in. His beliefs gave him his biggest inspiration, and blessings while he was in jail. That is when he had a dream to write Pilgrims Progress. God has blessed me to go see his museum in Bedford. It’s a must see if you’re a fan!"

Franklin Smith

"This is a very impressive small museum, packed with interesting exhibits and information. You certainly don't need to be a John Bunyan fan to enjoy it. There are only a couple of rooms but the space is well used to tell the story. Unlike pretty much every local museum we have visited recently, photography within the museum is very restricted which we feel is a great shame. With the prominence of social media in gaining traction on the visiting public, denying the right to take pictures of 99% of the exhibits seems very shortsighted, though there may of course be particular reasons for this."
