What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for 'Imperial Buildings' are highly varied, reflecting different types of establishments. Some praise the welcoming atmosphere, great music, and friendly staff at pubs, highlighting good value for money and enjoyable events like bottomless brunches. Others report negative experiences with rude staff and overpriced drinks at establishments aiming for a 'high class' feel, suggesting they may not appeal to all demographics.
"Not tried food so cannot comment.
Away fans on match days are always welcome. As Rotherham supporters we have met many away fans and exchanged numbers. They have met us in their own pubs also.
Great northern soul and motown music and Paul the owner/ barman is the main man. John Smith’s, Carling, Stella, Fosters, 1664 and Strongbow on tap. Plenty of spirits to sample too. 5 minutes walk to New York Stadium."
Ian Roebuck
"Visited recently as an away supporter for a football match. Mix of home and away fans with a really good atmosphere and great music. The bar manager was really pleasant and super friendly, definitely recommend."
Nicola Jones
"Saturday night out with the girls, first time in Rotherham for quite a few months and my experience of Platinum lounge was awful. My friends and I thought we would try this new pub out, it was trying to be high class but it was far from it. The male bar staff was very rude and sarcastic. After ordering my drink he gave me my change, I asked how much the tonic water was, he said £3 and then he said look where you are, pointing to the place with his arms open. There was no need for that whatsoever.. £3 for a tiny 150ml bottle of tonic water was a complete rip off when across the road at Elliot’s it’s £1:70 The music was bassy and extremely loud. On the upside it would appeal to the younger generation 25’s and below who have money to burn. Can’t see Platinum Lounge lasting."
