Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Hutton in the Forest for its beautiful historic house, well-maintained gardens, and welcoming atmosphere. The estate's dog-friendly policy and the delightful tearoom are frequently highlighted as major positives. While the house tours are recommended, some find the opening days restrictive.

"Lovely historic hall and gardens, well worth a visit. Guided tours need to be booked, possible to do at location depending on availability. Like many historic houses, no photos inside. Cake and scone in the cafe was lovely. Parking a short distance to the place and toilets available."

Tom (Bozz)

"What a beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our day here with our 2 German Shepherds. Large dogs were genuinely welcomed with open arms and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Stunning grounds and perfect walks to enjoy the incredible views. Finished off with a delicious coffee and cake in the lovely tearooms. Hope to be back soon. Highly recommended."

Joanne Owen

"We love coming here. It is now an annual family tradition. It's not a massive estate, but it is great to have a lovely walk round the estate, visit the walled garden and then after that visit the cafe for some excellent cake and coffee. We love it."
