"A really nice gallery space on the top floor of the library building. There's a small number of permanent exhibits including highlights by Lowry and Francis Bacon. It's a really great space to have your work exhibited and I've had photos in the gallery every year since 2009 as part of the annual exhibition run by Huddersfield Photo Imaging Club in Kirkheaton. It's quiet and always a pleasant place to while away some time."
Kev Lloyd
"A gorgeous art gallery that gets overlooked too often by passersby.
There's a beautiful inhouse collection of paintings, and a new exhibit on every time I visit.
It's not big enough for crowds, but a group of fotry could spend a good twenty minutes here.
The main drawback is accessibility, if you don't like stairs, you'll need to take the worn-out lift from the ground floor.
And I've only used it once, because the lingering smell of body odour was so repulsive.
Please clean out that lift! 😷
With some more attention to cleanliness, and better advertisement, this could become more than a hidden gem."
