"Visited Hebden Bridge for the first time yesterday with my family. We decided to travel by bus because the trains were on strike.
Was a lot cheaper because it only cost me and my son £5 with a day saver/all buses to travel there.
My partner used his bus pass, and it cost him nothing.
We got the 17 bus to Rochdale and then got the 590 to Hebden Bridge.
It did take a bit to get there, and it was worth it.
It was amazing, breathtaking, surrounded by the green hills, fresh clean air, and a bridge over the river Calder.
Many independent shops and market traders selling lots of different things from sweets to turkish lanterns and homemade crafts, including blankets, wooden benches, and mugs.
Had food in The White Swan, which was tasty and reasonably priced.
Will be going back soon and will also be walking around the beautiful park. I would highly recommend a visit."
