"Healey Nab is a wooded mound of Lancashire countryside with an elevation of about 300 ft. Formerly quarried, it sits between White Coppice and Chorley.
A popular walking and mountain biking spot that affords great views over Chorley and beyond. I have been roaming around up here for years and it always lifts my spirits.
The main approaches from Chorley are Crosse Hall Lane, Froom St, Bagganley Lane and Botany Bay. Other ways are from Heapey Road and several from Higher House Lane, Heapey. The two most popular being the approach from Anglezarke Reservoir or the path near Cliffe Farm."

If you are driving from out of town I suggest parking somewhere along 'Eaves Lane' and making your way down 'Froom Street' over the Leeds to Liverpool Canal. Healey Nab more recently incorporates a landscaped mountain bike track for the thrill seekers amongst you! An excellent place to spend a couple of hours. Excellent views of the coast from the top! (On a clear day.)."

"I consider myself a beginner when it comes to trails and jumps so my skills always get better everytime I go there. Two trails there - red and black - the black is for more experienced riders. Go on a week day first thing in the morning, you'll meet maybe 1 or 2 riders so you can enjoy it all by yourself pretty much :)"
