What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Haigh Hall offers beautiful grounds for walking and family activities, with a popular playground and various attractions like mini-golf. While the hall itself is under renovation, the park provides ample space for recreation and dog walking. Some visitors note issues with parking fees and toilet cleanliness, and the top end of the park can feel commercialized, though the lower, more natural routes are highly praised.
"Great place to walk dog. Plenty of woodland walks. Little train if you need a ride. Kids play area. And a few shops. Ice cream parlour. Golf. Or crazy golf. Loads of eating places. From pizza to a sandwich or a wigan pie. And a large stately home which when renovated should be re opened to the public. Ideal wedding venue."

"Visited Haigh Hall with family, for a birthday outing, in mid-October. Was a fine sunny day, and had a great time.
Lots of nice paths through the woods, and a busy play area for children, (activities suitable for young & older children, up to 16 yo)
Car parking was easy, plenty of space, and reasonably priced (£1:50 for two hours, i think, and £3:50 for all day.. 2 hours was enough for us)
Plenty of space for a picnic, and a café available, though we didn't try the café.
Only slight hiccup was, had bit of difficulty with the car park ticket payment machine, and also the exit barrier.. but fortunately there were two exits, so was ok.
Would recommend a visit, ideal for a half day out."
