What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about God's Own Junkyard for its unique, 'Instagrammable' atmosphere and the sheer volume of dazzling neon art. The free entry is a major plus, and the on-site cafe offers a pleasant spot to relax. However, some note the warehouse can be cold and the walk from the station is a bit long, with occasional service issues at the cafe.
"An authentic artistic experience.
Pros:
1. Lots to see. Wherever you see, you think there are just lights, but the more you look the more interesting items you find.
2. Instagram friendly place. Your pics will have that extra touch.
3. Selection of good drinks (beer, cocktails, soft drinks) available in place.
4. It doesn't get busy, people come in and out but you can easily take your pictures with no one in the background.
5. The music!!! Wow great choice guys.
Cons:
1. A bit far away from the nearest tube station (around 15 mins walk from Walthamstow station).
2. The place is a warehouse, so when you seat by the entrance on the sofas, it can be cold. My advice, find seats down the corridor or by the bar.
3. There is nothing else around (beside a couple of pubs), if you go there keep this in mind.
Overall, nice place for original pictures and relaxing atmosphere."

"Great collection of neon lights, okay food, terrible service.
Entrance is free, which is fantastic given the incredible amount of neon lights and other decorative item that make this its own museum.
It’s a wonder to look around, there’s a lot of humour in the decoration of the place.
The food was okay, we had a cheeseburger each with a side of fries (chips, rather), good price.
Half the tables were empty, they all had dirty glasses on them, the lady behind the bar, who looked like she might be the owner, was looking at her phone. I gave her my best smile to ask if burgers came with fries, she seemed annoyed, replied she might be out, checked her freeze and wrote down fries with my order without a word.
We found a free table with no dirty glasses, but it was dirty, wet and covered with crumbs, so we cleared another table.
Prices are good, just wished we’d had a clean table."

"Absolutely lovely to walk around, very cool seeing all the signs up! Reasonable prices and wasn’t too busy. It’s further out of the city than we thought it would be but definitely worth visiting"
