What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Glyne Gap Beach is praised for its beautiful coastal views and peaceful atmosphere, with a notable accessible path for all visitors. While primarily shingle, the appearance of sand at low tide and the clean sea are highlights. Some visitors have noted occasional windiness and the importance of respecting the environment and local signage.
"It's a lovely beach(shingles) but with a paved wheelchair accessible path up the low cliffs on both sides where we went. At the bottom where you walk in is a place to get a cuppa and you can also walk along the actual beach if you want. Like others have said it can be quite windy and was super cold but was quite enjoyable on the whole."

"This beach is gorgeous! Great views and walks. It’s mainly pebbles but when the tide goes out you’ll have sand under your feet. The day we went it was roasting hot and that sea was very welcoming. No mess! No rubbish! And fantastic locals!"

"It could be a very nice beach however be really mindful with the dog 💩 around the beach.
Most people here are very nice, but unfortunately, I had an unpleasant encounter during my visit. My young child ran up to some rocks, and I went to bring him down. Before I could reach him, a middle-aged Karen angrily approached me and shouted, “Excuse me, do you read English?” while pointing to a sign that said something like, “Do not climb on the rocks.”
Her tone was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. Just because I don’t look like a white British person doesn’t mean I can’t read English. For the record, I can read English, Chinese, Japanese, French, and Spanish! A simple, polite request would have sufficed, but instead, she chose to confront me in an aggressive and disrespectful way. What a racist Karen!
It’s disappointing to experience this kind of attitude in such a nice place."
