"4/10/25 A great place to stretch your legs when travelling on the A470. There is ample parking and sufficient space for quite a few Motorhomes. There are a couple of pathways along the river and all travel upstream. It is possible to do a circular walk to cross over the river if you intend staying for a few hours and feel energetic. The river can be a spectacle especially in times of high precipitation and with plenty of viewing points along the way."

"What an absolute gem of a place. Shhhh if this was in the Lake District it would be swarming! It’s stunning . I walked uphill from Rhayader and was greeted by a view that’s just wow wow wow. Then downhill to the reserve itself, just stunning countryside with the river and a waterfall to boot , views all around you . The prehistoric walk is enthralling, see the rocks with what would have been here millions of years ago . It’s a place I will go back to as soon as many trails to complete in superb peace and quiet."
