What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Fryer's Delight is celebrated for its authentic, old-school fish and chips, often praised for its traditional beef dripping preparation and crispy batter. Diners appreciate the charming retro decor and friendly service, though some find it a bit pricey for London. While most reviews are positive, a few mention the food lacking flavor or being dry on occasion.
"Great f&c for London normally it's no good down south, curry sauce is banging as well. Nice guys in there and nice decor. Plenty of reviews I've sent saying it was just ok, maybe they have off days but loved it and I'll be back. Will say it's pretty pricey though, 18.35 for jusy haddock chips peas and curry sauce."
Joseph Glass
"After reading all the reviews we were expecting something really good. The food didnt have a lot of taste and the haddock was dry. Overall we have a heavy stomach after dinner and I would recommend choosing a different place. The price is very fair tho and maybe its just about preference. The ketchup tasted very artificial. The place has a nice bistro vibe."

"This place has been on my list for a while after seeing a post about them on the CaffsnotCafes IG page.
If you want the best authentic fish and chips in central London that is also wallet friendly, this is the best place to go. The exceptional quality of the food, the friendliness of staff, fast service, location and atmosphere that you get here is not so easy to come by these days in London and in the UK.
We had the dine in menu and it was wonderful especially with the authentic decor that this place has. I had the plaice with chips (that come with the fish and were fried to perfection) and mushy peas. I haven’t had a decent fish and chips like this in years!
If you are in London, you must visit this place."
