"Irene gave me an excellent tour of the Tolbooth giving me an insight into the dark side of Forres many years ago .
Each room had been creatively displayed with just enough information for a passing visitor to absorb but for one perhaps researching Forres history there is a wealth of detail available .
The highlight of the tour was the ascent ( with sturdy handrails) to the clock tower allowing a 360degree panoramic view of Forres . My guide was able to point out some of the original buildings on the High Street below and beyond to Cluny Hill and Findhorn Bay .
Congratulations to Forres Heritage Society on their splendid effort in revitalising a valuable piece of the town’s history ."
