"It's mostly a stoney beach until you get closer to the water, so not the greatest for taking the kids - but then again, that might not be a bad thing...! It was a reasonably clean beach from what I saw, and on our visit there was a good breeze coming off the sea. Not loads of things directly close to the beach, but there are some places to eat, including a couple of places where you can get ice cream!"

"The beach at high tide is made up of pebbles and the sea drops off quick making it deep only a few meters in. At low tide there is sand to be found. The beach has beach huts available and some great cafés and eateries on the front. The area is very clean and quite not like Bognor a few hundred meters away. This is a dog friendly beach until May."
