What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Eccup Reservoir for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery, making it a great spot for walks and dog outings. While the lack of facilities and some fenced-off areas are noted drawbacks, the natural beauty and accessibility for a moderate walk are consistently highlighted as positives.
"Very nice walk took us about 2 hours at a steady pace. Dog friendly with parts that you will need to put them on the lead as it goes onto roads, which are quiet so it’s not much of a problem. There’s a lot of runners and you go near the golf course for a small part as well. Nice views although you don’t spend too much time near the water. We went in March and walking boots were fine, a couple of quite muddy parts. It’s pretty flat, a bit hilly in a couple of spots but nothing too challenging."
Leon Das
"Very peaceful. The walking surface is safe and the entire area is well protected. It is straight forward route and great place for dogs.
Highly recommending it."
Mo Bellamy
"A great walk, I often do the eccup reservoir and Harewood circular.
About 18km with a nice halfway point of the Harewood arms to walk your dog and have a quick couple pints of taddy lager."
