What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Glenfiddich Distillery for its rich history, beautiful grounds, and insightful tours that detail the whisky-making process. The staff are frequently highlighted for their friendliness and professionalism. While most experiences are positive, some guests have noted that tastings can feel rushed, and bar service can be abrupt at times.
"One of the best tours of the whole speyside region. You get to learn the rich history of the whisky and the Grants family. There is a bit of museum with memorabilia from even the beginnings and than you go and see the actual production. Beautiful, pristeen production area where they show you every step. Our guide was such a character and true whisky lover. We connected right away.
At the end of the tour there is a whisky tasting. Underage kids can go on the tour they just miss this part. They even showed us an unreleased whisky too.
On the way out you can stop at their bar and sample even more great drinks or by Glenfiddich branded gifts.
They have a cask on site from which you can handfill your bottle"

"We did a guided tour which was really good! The guide showed all of the behind scenes of the distillery and explained how the whiskey is made. The tasting was fun even though I didn’t try anything because I was driving. But I did get a sample boks with the whiskey the rest was trying. Super friendly staff that was really professional and service minded!"

"This was a last minute adventure on our trip to Aberdeen. Approx 1 hr 30 min from where we were staying. The staff at the Welcome Center were amazing. We did not book in advanced and for some reason got lucky enough to get on the tour. The Staff said this was very unusual but it was a Monday and we did get lucky. This place is amazing and very very beautiful. A mix of newer and older building which shows how much they have grown. Our tour guide was very good and we learned a lot about the history. Small tasting at the end. If you are driving you are not allowed to drink which is smart in my opinion but they do give you a few small take away tasters of the 12, 14, 15, and 18 yr old.
Cost was about 30 gbp for the tour. Would love to come again."
