"Brownhill Visitor/Countryside Centre is now called The Limekiln Cafe.
The Cafe seems reasonably busy, especially during the Summer months and although the prices seem a little high, it's not in a bad location for Saddleworth tourists (pretty central).
It's a good base for numerous walks around Saddleworth.
As far as I'm aware, it's Dog friendly and even has a Caral for your Horse - if you turn up on one?
I've personally never actually been in, even though I lived only a hundred yards away from it at one point. On the outside though, it's as I've described above. A really nice place. Couldn't give the full five stars, as I've never actually been inside the building 😁"
Matthew Vaughan
"Have visited many times. Used to live within a mile of the centre.
Visited today probably for the first time in two years and they have done some major work in making the site accessible for all and so much more. Loved the new stepping stones.
Recommended visit!"
