Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the overall cultural experience. However, some find ticket prices and bar costs to be high, and the theatre can be quite cold.
"We watched The Play What I Wrote at Devonshire Park Theatre – such a fun and lively performance! The atmosphere was cheerful, the audience laughed out loud, and the whole evening felt light-hearted and entertaining. The theatre itself is a beautiful Victorian building, and the staff were very polite and friendly, which made the experience even more welcoming. A real cultural gem in Eastbourne."

"Fabulous building and oozes atmosphere in the hall. Your specific experience may differ depending on what you go to see and how much it costs per seat which was £80 for two seats in my case for a play that was underwhelming, but that’s not the fault of the theatre. It was also more than half empty and was even emptier after the interval as loads of people left (although again, they may have just not liked the play.
If you want to start off your Victorian theatre experience properly, visit the bar, which is like stepping back in time maybe 60 years. All bottled and lukewarm drinks available at outrageous prices and ice cubes seemed to be limited to one per drink, just like the old days. Have your pre theatre drinks beforehand round the corner at the Bohemian."

"Went to Snow White Panto yesterday day. It was fabulous laughs all the way through some for the adults, loads for the kids, but each one was a great joke.
Live panto band, great singing and dancing, doing modern songs that fitted perfectly with the segment they were doing.
The staff were vert attentive, plenty on hand, smiles, and great welcome from all, a sign of a great venue and people who really enjoy what they do.
Ages between 41 and 2 years old in our group and everyone had a great time. I will be going back for another at some point.
Thank you so much for the experience."
