"End August. Google maps took me into a large private car park servicing flats. So I went back up the hill and parked by the entrance of the footpath blocked for cars. Information boards. A pleasant stroll uphill past mature rhododendrons overlooking the old formal gardens leading from the private car park. Up 125 steps to the view. On the way back picked lots of very good blackberries
Only three other peopleon a Friday afternoon."

Richard Leathem

"Looking for hiking trails on Google the first result was the Deepdene trail in Dorking. We went there for the first time and struggled a little bit to find parking and also how to access the trail but we managed to do it in the end. The trail start is somehow hidden by the trees and when the road curves. Because we went there we just did a part of the trail and the gardens. It is a lovely afternoon walk or you can choose to go there with a lovely picnic and spent the day exploring the trails."
