What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Daymer Bay Beach is a stunningly beautiful and expansive sandy beach, highly praised for its dog-friendly nature and picturesque views. While the natural beauty is undeniable, visitors often note the limited and sometimes poorly maintained facilities, particularly the toilets, and the potentially overpriced cafe. The ANPR parking system also requires careful attention to avoid fines.
"Gorgeous little beach! Decent sized car park, but limited facilities (there were some toilets but the cafe at the time we went was closed)"
Charlotte Payne
"The beach is fantastic. Loads of room for dogs, kite surfing and paddling. No life guard service but didn't plan to proper swim. Pleasant 30 minute walk to Polzeath for lunch. The negative was paying £7 parking only to find just one toilet operational and it was not well maintained. Also the guys in the shop had no customer service skills as talking and swearing between themselves and couldn't be bothered to open the shutters and make the place look welcoming.
I think new ownership or management is long overdue on the shop as it could be so good. Need to sort the toilets and rubbish disposal out. People will happily pay £7 parking for the day if the basic facilities are of reasonable standard."

"A beautiful beach which is dog friendly too!
We spent about 3 hours wandering along and around this beach with our dog.
We spotted the local coastguard helicopter out practicing - didn’t see anyone in trouble.
The beach is clean and tidy too. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area."
