"Just a daytime visit. Gardens were OK but nothing fantastic. Probably not a good idea to visit on such a hot day as it’s quite hilly.
Food in the Green Table cafe was tasty and good quality but expensive. Parking is chargeable."

"A great location set in beautiful grounds and countryside. Poor value for money with average rooms and facilities. Requires investment and updating. Signage to accommodation not visible from the road. Breakfast ok but again attention to detail is lacking. It’s a wonderful canvas but could be so much better with some attention to detail. Sadly disappointed."
Rob Taylor
"Enjoyed a lovely walk through the estate today with my dog. Parking at £1.50 an hour is very reasonable, considering there is no entry fee to the estate apart from for entry to the formal gardens unlike National Trust, English Heritage etc properties nationwide. The estate was looking beautiful and drinks in the White Hart pub are reasonable too for the setting. Staff I came across were friendly and welcoming and I look forward to returning."
