What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise the Dark Space Planetarium for its engaging interactive exhibits and impressive planetarium shows, making it a great outing for families. While some find the venue a bit small and the planetarium presenter's pace a bit fast, the friendly staff and the overall educational fun are consistently highlighted as major positives.
"Brilliant venue! Staff made us very welcome and helped our five year old grandsons use the exhibits. Film and talk were excellent and held the attention of all ages. We sat back and the boys lay on bean bags mesmerised for almost an hour. Great way to spend a couple of hours in total."

"Quite small but great interactive exhibits, easy to understand for the little ones. The actual planetarium was quite impressive, however the person who did the talk spoke really fast and from a script, ade several mistakes and there were a few gaps. I think this would be better as a recording. Other than that, really enjoyed it. Felt it was a bit expensive for what it was at £16 for an adult."
Claire
"We had a great wee morning visiting. We were there about an hour and a half which included the planetarium screening. That's about the amount of time I would say you could expend to spend there if you interact with all the exhibits. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the lovely staff member leading the screening and talk was very knowledgeable.
The chairs in the planetarium are just standard seats so can be a little uncomfortable when trying to lean back and look up. We ended up lying on the floor with the beanbag and it was much better.
We enjoyed our visit and glad we went."
