What a stunning morning. So I started down by Corbyn head and sketched/inked and started painting but my stomach had other ideas and demanded nourishment so I headed to Meadfoot cafe to finish painting. What a splendid morning 😎

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Corbyn Head's breathtaking coastal views, especially during sunrise and sunset, and its peaceful atmosphere. The WW2 memorial adds a poignant historical touch. While the natural beauty is a major draw, some note limited amenities and potential accessibility challenges.

"This peaceful little park, just a short walk from Abbey Park and Meadow, was the perfect place for my morning stroll! It sits on a promontory above a cave in a red sandstone cliff, clearly visible from the prom. The park can be accessed by way of either a path or steps from the main coast road. There's lots of grassy space with seating, wonderful views down into Torquay and along the coast, and a WW2 memorial erected in memory of six local Home Guard volunteers who died tragically when an artillery gun exploded during a training exercise. There are toilets in the park, and also a slipway leading down to a small beach with beach huts and a café."

The beach is clean, peaceful, and ideal for a relaxing stroll or a quiet moment by the sea. Whether you're enjoying the fresh sea breeze or exploring the nearby scenic spots, Corbyn's Head provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. A must-visit if you're in Devon!"

Ganith Malage (Sakaarson)

"Small park offering good views of the bay and Torquay's seafront. There are a few benches where you can sit, and a boarded up pavilion in the centre where a couple of portaloos have been placed.
There is also a small memorial to servicemen (Home Guard) who died at Corbyn Head from enemy bombs during WW2."
