Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Conwy Town Walls to be an impressive and rewarding experience, offering fantastic views of the castle and estuary. While some sections may be closed or difficult to access due to stairs and uneven surfaces, the accessible parts are highly praised for their historical significance and scenic beauty. It's a highly recommended, free activity for those visiting Conwy.

"You cannot walk around the complete walls, as a section was closed off (no signs explaining for how long) but what you can walk is very impressive. We did initially find it difficult to find a staircase that led to an open section of the wall (we eventually found the entrance just off the train station platform) but the persistence was rewarded by an interesting walk with lots of impressive views of the town, castle and estuary. Some sections are the walls are surprisingly on the steep side. Free to visit, if open."

Elizabeth Baker

"I enjoyed walking along the town walls. It was a bit hard to find the second section considering you need to cross over to the other side of the train station to get there and the third section was currently closed off which was a bit disappointing. Regardless, I still loved my walk along the walls and took in the incredible views of Conwy and beyond."

Luke Bourne

"We really enjoyed our walk on the town walls. We don’t do the whole thing on account of the heat the day we were visiting. The walls were easy to enter - the parking lot by the castle has the entrance to the walls - so it made it easy for us to do both things from a single parking spot. The views of the town and castle are great from up on the walls. On a cooler day we definitely would have walked as much of the wall as was available. A must do in Conwy. Note: this activity is not accessible. Access to the wall requires stairs and is on uneven surfaces."
