Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the City of London Cemetery and Crematorium for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds and peaceful atmosphere. The helpfulness of the staff, from groundskeepers to cafe employees, is frequently highlighted, making visits more pleasant and informative. While it's a place of solemnity, the serene environment and historical significance offer a unique experience.

"We visited again this weekend, many family members are buried here and we travel from Essex to the crematorium
Today we had lunch at the cafe and we were very impressed with the staff and service.
By chance a lady was queuing in front of us and asked if the chef was able to make her a salad, currently not advertised on the menu, the lovely man offered to do it and made suggestions as to what he would be able to serve.
She potentially made her own salad menu.
Whilst listening to the man who was taking the order I very soon changed my mind from the sausage sandwich that I was going to order and asked if I could order the salad as well, he sold it to the lady so well that it was impossible to resist.
Once freshly prepared and served it was an absolute treat. Well presented and lots of delicious ingredients, at the end of the meal and leaving, I made a point of going back to the counter and expressing my gratitude and appreciation to the staff for the delicious food and service provided, I suggested that a salad option be added to the menu or specialty board, as at present there is not one advertised.
I would totally recommend that if anyone wants something that is not on the menu, just ask if something can be served within the kitchens capability, the staff I’m sure will be happy to oblige. Well done and thank you so much. 👍"

"I was searching for a dear friend's marker in the memorial Gardens without success.
I met Ian, one of the senior groundsmen, who took me to the office, where a member of staff very kindly took the details and located the plot.
Ian, then ferried me across to the site, to the marker and then took me to the main gate.
Outstanding generosity and service!
Thank you so much."
