"This is not a review of the place itself, but rather a message for the chairman of the property- as he introduced himself. My grandfather had been helping me gain confidence in driving- and we were under the assumption the car park would be available for us to practice. We were mistaken, and were informed of that- which the chairman is well within his right to do! My issue is not with the contents of what he said, as we were indeed in the wrong. What shocked and saddened me was the hostility and vitriolic behaviour and tone that the chairman had. I definitely agree with him that we must find somewhere else, but in a conversation where we could have parted on friendly and productive terms, his manner was maladaptive and violent. I hope that in the future the chairman chooses kindness when people make a mistake, and other people’s interactions with him are much better than ours. I wish you the best sir, and when you make a mistake you are treated with the dignity and respect you deserve.
May this not reflect poorly on what is otherwise a wonderful community centre, there are too few of them today despite the fantastic work they do."
