Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Burtonwood Heritage Centre for its fascinating exhibits and the opportunity to explore aircraft cockpits, especially the Vulcan. The free entry and knowledgeable, friendly staff are frequently highlighted as major positives. Some reviewers note it's a smaller exhibition but still highly recommend it for its historical importance and engaging displays.

"Well worth every penny and more, the Vulcan cockpit tour was very interesting, I would recommend of you want to do the Vulcan that you get there early as it fills up quickly for the tour! There was a great selection of planes on display outside with many having access to their cockpits as well. The exhibitions inside were spot on, a great variety of uniforms, models and much much more, even including ejector seats. My uncle and I stayed for 2 hours but could have spent more looking about, we were on a trip back up to Scotland so couldn't dally too long, there was coffee, tea and soft drinks available in reception, the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Souvenir shop was absolutely brilliant, loads of model kits, gliders, things for kids and adults. Can't recommend this place enough, what a visit. If possible I would visit on a day when it's not raining as all the planes are outside, even then though it's still a great place 😀"

"Only a small exhibition, we had a good look round slowly for an hour including a short film but really interesting and this place deserves a much bigger area if more exhibits were available. If you read all the information it would take longer and we would go again . An important piece of our history and heritage and well laid out. Not just military based as there are old toys and games and typical war time food shop window display. I liked all the aircraft models and engines and the wedding chapel with all the photographs was interesting."

"Free entry is always a bonus, donations welcome, and it is easy to find being in Gulliver's World Carpark.
Lots of interesting exhibits which give a great incite to how things where.
A point that really caught my interest and upset me a little, was the treatment of Black Serviceman. All where welcomed by the local Community but their own 'comrades in arms' insisted on segregated Dance halls !
Go visit."
