What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Bunster Hill for its spectacular summit views and peaceful atmosphere, often noting it as a quieter alternative to nearby Thorpe Cloud. While the steep ascent is challenging, the panoramic reward is widely appreciated. Some find the descent tricky, advising careful route planning.
"Have wanted to do this after seeing it from previous walks around Dovedale,Ilam and Thorpe Cloud. We enjoyed the walk it's quite steep up but nice views when you get to the top. We misjudged our route down and ended up above the Stepping Stones and a steep drop down so had to extend our walk. In hindsight it would have been easier and shorter to come down at the front of the hill instead of the back like we tried. One plus was it was really quite we were literally the only ones doing this walk."

"No. Was a pain to get up. And a pain to get down. And then up again. Nearly fell down several times. Would not reccomend if you're not a scout. Looked nice and good views from the top but personally, after a day of walking already, not worth it."
