Reviews Summary
Visitors find Bulwark Camp Hillfort to be a site of historical interest, particularly for its connection to the Silures tribe. While the visible remains are subtle and may not impress those seeking dramatic ruins, it offers a quiet space for contemplation and a quick historical detour, especially when combined with nearby attractions like Chepstow Castle.
"At first glance, this iron age hillfort, home to the Silures tribe, just looks like a small field, but the embankment and ditch can be found down the left hand (north) side as you enter; the embankment is overgrown with trees and not immediately obvious. Presumably there would have also been similar earthworks along both the east side (where the railway line now runs), and the west side (now a housing estate). The south side appears to be a natural embankment."

"Amazing field for running laps around. Lovely views and listening to the trains. Cat loves it too, good juicy mice to catch. Watch out for the dog poo. Why people hang it in poobags in the poor trees branches is very strange. Give me a high five when you see me doing my laps. 5 and 3/4 laps is a mile. 5m 30s to beat. Be sure to walk to the boat inn for a pint after."
