"Beautiful and interesting place, well worth the visit. The driveway is a very long lovely drive with passing places along the way. I came early and it was not busy. Me and my dog explored the grounds for hours- it's huge, there's so much to see with there being 3 different walks to choose from. Lovely lambs in the fields and the first signs of spring made it such an enjoyable visit. Dogs are not allowed in the house as expected but she was tired after our long treck so she slept in the car while I went inside. The house is so interesting with different rooms representing different decades and who had lived in there. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I spent four hours here, but I could have stayed longer. Definitely recommend a visit to this gem, it exceeded my expectations and has inspired me to research and visit more national trust sites."
