There's a small-ish (but very well maintained) playground for kids with a nice mix of equipment for toddlers and those up to 7/8yrs old.
There are lots of different areas to explore, connected by a main circuit which for the most part is easy to push a pram around. The woodland and duck pond are brilliant for little ones and you have little to no sense of the surrounding roads or houses. The hall is currently being renovated but offers a range of events throughout the year.
There are two car parks, one small one near the main entrance and a larger one further down the path do fill up on weekends, so be wary of arriving late morning. Parking can be paid via RingGo or cash."

"Spent an afternoon with a good friend here. The weather was gorgeous which just added to a marvellous day all round. We started with a breakfast in the stable cafe, and a cake to take away.
The house itself is breathtaking. The solar is probably up there with the best rooms I've ever visited in a historic house setting. The guide outside the room was delightfully chatty, friendly and informative. Made us feel so welcome. It was great to see some of the conservation set up that they have on the go.
We finished with a brisk walk around the grounds to finish the day."
