The added allure of its fame as a filming location for major movies like Gladiator and Lord of the Rings adds a unique charm. While parking can be a challenge on busy weekends and there's no water source, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

"Peaceful and beautiful. I arrived after the movie makers had been filming Lord of the Rings. An absolutely stunning place. Highly recommended visiting."

Alexia Cundy

"I think there are other car parks but the one I went to was £1 for 2 hours, which was fine.
It's a lovely woodland, hillside walk, quite a few paths, dirt and paved. Everyone I have bumped into has been really friendly. The views are 👌
I went back again the next day, especially because alot of the other surrounding walks, hills etc, are really really sandy but bourne woods is great.
Dogs pop out of nowhere sometimes, and I have a reactive pitksy, and two other dogs, but actually the other walkers are very polite and offer to put the lead on their dogs etc, it's great for socializing the pitksy, lots of positive interactions for him.

The only reason it has four stars is that there isn't a water source in the woods. I heard a small stream but it was behind a fence, and my dogs love a drink and a splash around."

Jordon M

"Nice wooded area with a large path, which has also been used in multiple films. It’s dog friendly and has a small incline up a light hill. The minus one star is for the car park - it’s pretty small so can get quite busy on the weekends, with occasional difficulty turning around if it is indeed full."
