What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Biggar Bank Beach is praised for its ample free parking, clean environment with plenty of bins, and peaceful atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the scenic coastal path and the vast, shallow waters at low tide, making it great for families. Some find the water too far out for adult swimming at low tide, and tide time accuracy can be a minor concern.

"A lovely stretch of coastline with a clean pebbly beach and brilliant views of the coast. There’s also a newly laid tarmac path, which makes for a great walking route."

"We came here in search of the sea as we missed it at Roanhead. We eventually found it but very far out from the shoreline. Though it was nice to finally find some water, I preferred being at Roanhead.
At low tide, the water was very shallow, which is good for kids to swim, not so good for adult swimming unless you go far out to sea, which I don't think is wise. We went back very early one morning to see if the tide came in, but no luck, the publish times aren't accurate at all. However, it was beautiful to see the sunrise in the distance.
There is a cafe close by that you can enjoy a bite to eat, and a really decent playground for the kids to have some fun. Along the coast, there are benches where you can sit and enjoy the scenery and soak up some sun 🌞 if you like. But I think the location is more suited for dogs to play, a morning run, a walk, or even a bike ride along the paved path."
