Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, North East England: England’s northernmost town, which has historically passed to-and-from from Scotland and England. Apparently, in declaring war on Russia in 1854, Queen Victoria signed the treaty ‘Victoria Queen of Great Britain, Ireland, [and] Berwick-upon-Tweed…’ - probably a fiction, but an interesting fiction nonetheless.
