AD a spring day in my soft life with @National Trust 🌸 I’m a sucker for beautiful, historic buildings and I love Richmond, so visiting Ham House and Garden as we welcome in the spring season was a must! It was great way to catch up with a friend and enjoy the sun together. I haven’t seen Spice World for a long time so I was trying hard to remember what scene was shot here. Does anyone remember the...

Benthall Hall is praised for its charm, character, and the exceptional knowledge of its volunteer guides. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained gardens and the unique historical features within the house. While some note the photography restrictions and lack of a gift shop, the overall sentiment is that it's a delightful and worthwhile visit for those seeking a low-key historical experience. Reddit+1

"Visited Benthall Hall with family (three adults) two days ago, and it was a delightful outing for anyone who enjoys historic buildings. This National Trust property may not be large, but it’s packed with character and history. The house itself is fascinating, with unique features like the quirky three-legged chairs and striking tiled floor in the dining room. The volunteer guides were a highlight. Friendly, enthusiastic and brimming with fascinating stories about the hall’s past, including its Civil War connections.

The gardens are pleasant and well-maintained, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The small attached church is also worth a peek, steeped in history. We spent about two hours exploring, which felt just right. Ample parking and a coffee van were convenient, though we couldn’t find any toilets.

Overall, I’d recommend Benthall Hall to history buffs or anyone looking for a charming, low-key visit. A lovely way to spend an afternoon."

"I visited on Sunday 20th of July after not having called in for a number of years. A lovely place, set in beautiful grounds. The gardens are looking lovely and are much bigger and more extensive than I remember them. Very welcoming staff too. Car parking is close by, there are toilets in the grounds. There is a refreshment kiosk in the car park."

"Another walk through history this time the wonderful Benthall hall near Ironbridge owned and maintained by the National trust .
What a beautiful place so pretty and well maintained whilst being steeped in history . Another gem in the midlands crown . The staff as always were amazing and mostly volunteers, they were incredibly helpful and informative, whilst we were there .
There was a WW2 trail for children to follow and find around the house as more than 30 children were evacuated to Benthall hall from East Sussex during WW2. The photos will speak for themselves but this was a lovely place and the gardens were beautiful to stroll through as well . I loved the almost 400 year old triangular bishops chair . And found out that three legged chairs were preferred back then because they are more stable to sit on different surfaces interesting? . Great place ."
