Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Belgrave Hall's beautiful and tranquil walled gardens, offering a peaceful escape. The Georgian architecture is also a draw, and community events are often highlighted as enjoyable experiences. However, the hall's ongoing refurbishment means parts may be closed, and the lack of on-site amenities like a cafe, along with potential parking difficulties, are noted drawbacks.
"I visited Belgrave Hall while out for a walk in the area. I hadn’t been here since childhood, so it brought back a lot of memories. It was disappointing to hear that the museum will be closing permanently in just two weeks. We explored the house and gardens and took some photos, but it was sad to see how run-down it’s become compared to how I remember it as a child."

"Belgrave Hall is a free place to go, tour guide or not, it is up to you. There is an indoor and outdoor garden and there is also a car park. It is a place for historical and there is no cafe."

"Leicester had their heritage open days running from Friday 6 - Sunday 15 September 2024. I visited Belgrave Hall on 11th September. I entered through the back door of the hall. I was in a group of 17 people. There were 2 guides taking us around. We started by going out to see the gardens and at the front of the house. We went back into the house to explore the ground floor rooms. We then went up to the 1st floor rooms. We returned downstairs and then went to the kitchen area. We split up and went down to the celler, which was quite low in height. We returned to the kitchen area. Once we had all gathered, we went out to a pebbled yard where the horse stables used to be. Time went very quickly, about 90 minutes. Be aware that the tour does include climbing a flight of stairs and going down into the cellers. I really enjoyed it.
