What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Beatles Museum for its extensive collection of original memorabilia, especially focusing on the Best family and the band's early years. The well-stocked gift shop is a highlight, offering good value. However, some find the museum can get warm and the narrow corridors challenging, particularly for those with mobility issues.
"The Beatles museum is a unique experience. Even though we’re fans, we discovered things we had never imagined! We knew it was going to be a very special moment, so we chose to visit it on my wife’s birthday — and it did not disappoint at all. We’re already planning to go back and take our family with us, we’re sure they’ll love it! I forgot to mention that the gift shop at the end of the tour is amazing — it really makes you want to buy everything! This is definitely an experience we highly recommend in Liverpool."

"I couldn't make up my mind on which Beatles Museum to visit, so I decided to go to both and I'm glad I did. The Liverpool Beatles Museum is more for the knowledgeable fan in my opinion. You already know the story, and here you get to see a lot of original memorabilia and mementos. It's very well presented and a delightful visit. 2 quick notes. Why charge an extra pound for an audio when we already paid 20 for admission? Also, it was very warm in there."

"The museum was excellent but didnt realise that it's recommend to use the audio guide. Not idea with someone using a walking stick. The museum ends up having lots of people standing around not moving or hearing you say 'excuse me'. Tight narrow corridors. Which is understandable due to the museums location.
Content is great and shop very well stocked."

The Best Family Connection
Visitors can explore exhibits detailing the history of the Casbah Coffee Club, a pivotal early venue for the band, and delve into their time in Hamburg. This focus provides a deep dive into the raw, early energy of The Beatles before their global fame. While some visitors might expect a broader collection of items from all four members, the museum excels in showcasing this specific, crucial period.
This emphasis on the Best family's contributions makes the museum a must-visit for those interested in the untold stories and the foundational stages of The Beatles' career. It offers a different narrative compared to other Beatles attractions in the city.
Navigating the Four Floors
Be aware that the museum's location in a historic building means the corridors can be narrow and the spaces can feel warm, especially during busier times. This can present challenges for visitors with mobility aids or those who prefer more spacious environments. It's advisable to wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers to manage the temperature.
Despite the physical layout, the museum's content is rich and engaging. The audio guide is highly recommended to fully appreciate the context of the numerous artifacts on display, from guitars and personal effects to replicas of iconic stage outfits.
