"Our neighborhood organized a canal boat cruise, renting a boat to cruise along the canal.
There are beverages available for purchase on the boat, and we brought our own snacks. The organizers also prepared some music, adding to the atmosphere of the journey 🎶😚.
Midway through the trip, the boat had to pass under a bridge. Two children had the opportunity to go ashore and operate the red and white iron bars that stopped the traffic. They pressed a button to raise the bridge and let the boat pass through. They had a great time playing 😁!
While waiting for the boat to turn around, our group went ashore to visit Odiham Castle, which is related to King John of England who signed the Magna Carta. The entire boat trip lasted about 2.5 hours. Surprisingly, many locals from our neighborhood were also experiencing a boat trip along the Basingstoke Canal for the first time 😬.

"I live by the Basingstoke Canal in Woking. All year around it is a wonderful place to walk by. There is a walking/cycle path which runs adjacent to the canal. This is well maintained and is ideal for exercise. There are quite a few species of fish in the Canal, with the very occasional big carp. Its lovely to see the odd barge go by.. just adds to the magic... wonderful"
