What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Barn Theatre is highly praised for its intimate atmosphere, friendly staff, and high-quality productions, offering excellent value for money. While some visitors note limited legroom and potential parking challenges, the overall experience is consistently described as professional, welcoming, and thoroughly enjoyable.
"The Barn Theatre is a small independent theatre that hosts its own productions and receives no Arts Council support. These are all reasons why theatre lovers should visit. It is also a great theatrical space with good facilities and polite welcoming staff.
I was at the Barn Theatre to see "Constellations," an exquisitely acted two hander that was better than good, it was clever also. Recommended!"

"A nice little theatre with lovely friendly staff who always make an effort to speak to you. They put on some good shows. Prices are reasonable for soft drinks - same as a pub really. Two things let it down....the seats have zero leg room. Really struggle as someone who is 5"10 and although a car park opposite, it is often full so can be tough to find parking too if you're not a local. Another car park is about 5 mins walks but sometimes also full."

"A friend told me that I must go see #EducatingRita @thebarn and I’m so glad I did. I didn’t know what to expect but @ellie. Clayton knocked the part of Rita out of the park. Her Liverpudlian accent was spot on, but what was lovely to discover is she is actually a scouser! And you could feel the passion with which she portrayed the uneducated Rita who only wanted to be clever and be able to hold a conversation with the likes of Professor Frank, whose just teaching open university to pay the bills. Well his eyes are soon opened at the innocence and sheer determination of Rita. An amazing performance also by @justin.Edwards, but for me the star was Ellie. Absolutely hands down worth every penny. Next stop @Broadway. Or at least #LondonTheatre. Go see it, it’s a corker!!"
