🌙 Avebury Manor hides secrets in its stone walls… Built in the 1500s, it’s said to be one of the most haunted houses in Wiltshire. Guests have spoken of ghostly footsteps echoing along the corridors, shadowy figures at the windows, and a woman in white who drifts through the bedrooms at night. Some believe she’s a restless former lady of the house… others whisper it’s something much older, tied to...

As it’s been so highly requested, here is a tour inside Avebury Manor House 🥰💛. It’s been incredible for me watching the house change over the years, I remember standing in these gardens and rooms as a very little child and now as an adult… it seems almost surreal to think I grew up playing here before the house became completely open to visitors. Heritage Day in Avebury, so we popped over to enjoy Avebury Manor & Gardens. The house is described as more like a film set rather than museum demonstrating how the house was used over the centuries, our favourite was the Tudor Dining Room! This mean kids can lie on beds, try on clothing and be a little more riotous than other places! #aveburymanorandgardens #avebury @avebury_nt #manorhouse #visi...

"Great National Trust Manor House and beautiful gardens in Avebury. Unfortunately the Manor House itself was closed due to restoration work but the gardens are magnificent and included lots of art and sculpture. Nice cafe."

Mick Saunders

"We couldn't go into the house as it was closed, I believe for renovations. The gardens and museum were fascinating, they had an art exhibition in the grounds, some wonderful pieces."

Mae Homer

"Highly recommend a visit to Avebury National Trust.
Lots to see and do. You can walk around the stones free of charge. It's a lovely walk and volunteers roam around sharing interesting information.
The gardens are beautiful and bigger than expected (£6.50 entry).
The museum was interesting, but very small and not really worth the entrance fee of £6.50 (in my opinion).
The manor house was closed due to flooding until the end of November.
There's a National Trust shop, a delightful local gift shop nearby and a café."
