Some reviewers noted issues with the cleanliness of the caves, urging visitors to be respectful of the natural environment.

"Very interesting and unique set of random caves in Sandstone. Obviously very well visited and photographed. Crazy to think at one time they were carved out by the sea. I also believe someone used to live in these caves at some point. Lots of marking inside some modern some old. The only downside is one had become a bit of a toilet !!"

"Beautiful walk along the coast past some stunning coastal erosion on the beach it's definitely worth the walk, Don't start at the harbour you start at the path at the top of the harbour and walk away from the shops, follow it down and gulley past a few houses across the cliff top then follow the shoreline"

Helz C

"If you’re not walking along the Fife coastal path access is a little more tricky. Park in the wee farm shop car park, come out and turn right, walk along the road for about 50 yards and on the left is a farm track. Walk down the farm track to the bottom, go right and climb over the metal gate. Go right and walk down the path and you’re there! The cave and rock formations are spectacular, it really is worth the walk! Red sandstone stacks leaning against each other with a cracking wee cave within. The coastline is beautiful too, nice to just sit and forget about your ills."
