What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Anstruther Harbour for its picturesque setting and, most notably, its exceptional fish and chips, often described as award-winning. The charm of the traditional fishing village atmosphere is a major draw. However, some find the public toilet charges and limited accessibility to shower facilities inconvenient.
"Toilets are ok but 30p to have a pee is a bit excessive. If you can wait go half's with someone else and chip in 15pence each or if you're not that desperate someone might let you in for nowt if they have a radar key. There's showers in here too but the door is locked and you're supposed to be able to get a key from the harbour office but it was closed and no one there on Friday at 3pm. So not sure what time you can use the showers. Nice harbour anyway with boats and things. Some look a little worse for wear but most are ok. Few benches around too so its ok to sit around and watch the seagulls"

"Nice day meant parking and shops were busy. Two badge places near RNLI. Plenty fish and chip shops and ice cream shops to choose from. Tide was out so all boats sitting on their keels."

"Lovely harbour, very picturesque especially in the sunshine like I had today. Limited paid parking next to the harbour however there is plenty of free parking next to the Coop on the outskirts of town but is still a relatively short walk away."
