Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the incredibly preserved Roman mosaics and the knowledgeable staff at the small museum. The charming village of Aldborough also adds to the appeal. However, some visitors have been disappointed by unexpected closures and note that the site's terrain can be challenging for those with mobility issues.

"Staff are amazing and very informative, started off with a talk about where to find the mosaics and the boundaries on which we can walk, as private gardens do back onto the site. It's actually quite amazing when you walk across the field to the mosaics, that you are probably walking across hidden artifacts. Kids enjoyed looking for the animal markers with their Latin names on them.

Parking, we parked on the road, no car park.
The entrance to the site is next door to a residential home a sign post does point to the entrance so you can't miss it. Steps going up to the entrance. Toilets available. Not sure if they have a wheelchair friendly access so best to call first before heading out."
