What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Crossroads of Civilizations Museum for its extensive and diverse private collection, offering a unique glimpse into regional and global history, including notable sections on the Holocaust and pearl diving. The affordable entry fee and the encouragement of photography are also highlighted as positives. Some find the presentation a bit eclectic, but overall, it's considered a worthwhile cultural experience, especially as a cool escape from the Dubai heat.
"Located in Al-Shindagha, in a complex of traditional buildings. Quite small, with an air of obsolescence and improvisation, in contrast to the opulence found everywhere in Dubai.
An interesting aspect, for the geographical area in which we are: there is a section dedicated to the Holocaust and the Jews. But it must be taken into account that it is a private museum...
The most interesting (for me) were the section dedicated to pearls and the one dedicated to weapons.
But it is interesting and worth visiting!
You need 60-90 minutes to visit it."

"Award winning private museum, the Crossroads of Civilizations Museum (CCM) opened its doors on January 27th, 2014. It houses the personal collection of historic artefacts, rare manuscripts, and the armory of Ahmed Obaid Al Mansoori. CCM has now grown into a group of three museums: Crossroads of Civilizations Museum, Rare Books, Manuscripts & Prints Museum, and The Armory Museum. The two museums are located at a nearby heritage house a short, well signed distance from Crossroads of Civilizations Museum. The three museums are now referred to as The Museum Group.
There is a separate ticket for the museum which allows entry into all three museum. It has a fairly large collection and should be a separate planned visit."

"Nice little museum, 25Dhms per person, spend about an hour. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Some interesting displays - if a little eclectic - seems more a collection of the owner’s artefacts and interests. An encouraging exploration of interfaith engagement and harmony - an interesting, if somewhat oddly placed reflection on the holocaust, but a hopeful look at the positivity of working together to prevent further atrocity.
Interested to see the 16th Kaaba door-cover. Some great, historical manuscripts and folios, although I feel concern for the way they are conserved and presented - not sure about the longevity of these artefacts that should be protected for the cultural heritage of all.
If pressed for time, the Al Shindagha museum is probably a better option, but good to support this little cultural trove."
